Piaggio & C. SpA is an Italian automotive manufacturer that manufactures a wide range of two-wheeled autos and small commercial vehicles under seven brands: Piaggio, Vespa, Gilera, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Derbi, and Scarabeo. The headquarters of the corporation are in Pontedera, Italy. Rinaldo Piaggio founded the company in 1884, initially building locomotives and railway carriages.
Piaggio’s enterprises employed a total of 7,053 people in 2014 and produced 519,700 vehicles. The corporation has operations in more than 50 countries and six research and development locations.
