Aprilia Tuono R Factory

The Aprilia Tuono is a naked motorcycle produced by Aprilia beginning in 2002. It’s inspired on the Aprilia RSV Mille. Its engine, gearbox, chassis, and, to a lesser extent, suspension are shared by its successor, the Aprilia RSV1000R superbike. The Tuono was replaced by the Aprilia Tuono V4 R for the 2011 model year, however the V2 model was still in production.

At the presentation, this innovative naked featured high power for a model without fairing (125 HP ) and a windshield derived directly from the fairing of the sports RSV Mille. Dedicated to purely road use, this 1000 is also suitable for more sporty uses, a novelty for this segment.

In 2002 was presented the RSV Mille Tuono R Limited Edition, produced in a limited series and numbered in only 200 units. Embellished with carbon and kevlar it is a real treat for collectors.

The following year (2003) is the RSV Tuono Racing which was created to consecrate the sporting nature of this bike. Carbon everywhere, aluminum forged suspension wheels make it very light, it is equipped with Öhlins. It is presented in road and track kit version. Produced in a few pieces, but of enormous success, production continued throughout 2004 but without the track kit supplied. In 2005 the liveries changed (now white tables and blue circles) but maintaining the same technical characteristics.

is the 2006 year of the generation change of the Tuono, using the components of RSV 1000 R the 2004; it is also new in its name, which loses the prefix ‘RSV’ and expresses the displacement with numerical characters, it gains in agility and weight, but also in maximum power which reaches 139Cv.

The Tuono 1000 R Factory is produced in 300 units a year, features Öhlins suspensions, forged aluminum wheels and carbon details . It was also produced in 2007 and 2008 with purely aesthetic changes.

In 2007 the Tuono 1000 R Daytona was presented , a replica of the bike that triumphed in 2007 at the endurance race in Daytona. Produced in 150 copies, it is a graphic variant of the Tuono R.
