Indian Challenger / Pursuit / Chieftain PowerPlus / Roadmaster PowerPlus Service Manual (2025)

For 2025, Indian significantly expanded its liquid-cooled PowerPlus motorcycle family. The Challenger and Pursuit continued as the chassis-mounted-fairing performance bagger and touring platforms, while the new Chieftain PowerPlus and Roadmaster PowerPlus brought the same liquid-cooled architecture to Indian's fork-mounted-fairing bagger and touring range. The factory manual itself distinguishes these two layouts as CMF, chassis-mounted fairing, and FMF, fork-mounted fairing.

The major mechanical development for 2025 was the introduction of the PowerPlus 112. Displacement increased to 1,834 cc through a larger 110 mm bore while retaining the 96.5 mm stroke. Compression increased to 11.4:1, with factory output of 126 hp and 133 lb-ft of torque. Indian identifies 2025 as the PowerPlus 112's introduction year and lists it for Challenger, Pursuit, Chieftain PowerPlus and Roadmaster PowerPlus models.

The established PowerPlus 108 remained available on much of the range, producing 122 hp and 128 lb-ft from 1,768 cc. Both engines use liquid cooling, overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, closed-loop fuel injection and a six-speed transmission.

PowerPlus 112 versions also introduced a broader package of rider-assistance technology. Depending on model and equipment, this includes Blind Spot Warning, Tailgate Warning, rear collision warning lights, Bike Hold Control, electronic combined braking and Smart Lean functions. Indian markets these systems as part of the 112-equipped platform, while this factory manual contains the related radar, control-module and diagnostic procedures.

The Chieftain PowerPlus combined this powertrain with a fork-mounted fairing and performance-oriented chassis. Indian describes it as a more athletic extension of the Chieftain family, with inverted forks and radial Brembo brakes. The Roadmaster PowerPlus applies the same platform to long-distance touring, adding its trunk, passenger accommodations and additional storage.
