Kawasaki Z750 / Z750 ABS Service Manual (2007–2010)

Kawasaki introduced the original Z750 as a 2004 model, extending the angular, performance-focused Z concept below the Z1000. Kawasaki showed the new Z750 at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show, and the model quickly became especially relevant to the European naked-bike market. For 2007 the Z750 was comprehensively redesigned alongside the Z1000; Kawasaki's 2007 annual report specifically identified both machines as newly redesigned sport models that had earned strong recognition in Europe. This second-generation Z750 retained the accessible middleweight role of its predecessor while adopting sharper styling and a revised chassis around the established four-cylinder concept.

The 2007-generation motorcycle is built around a 748 cc inline-four naked bike platform. Its liquid-cooled DOHC engine uses a 68.4 × 50.9 mm bore and stroke, 11.3:1 compression and four Keihin TTK32 fuel-injection throttle bodies. Factory specifications list 77.7 kW (106 PS) and 78.0 N·m for the standard configuration, with power transmitted through a wet multi-disc clutch, six-speed constant-mesh gearbox and chain final drive. The tubular diamond frame, 17-inch wheels, dual front discs and Uni-Trak rear suspension kept the machine firmly in the road-oriented sport-naked class, while the Z750 ABS added anti-lock braking without changing the basic engine and drivetrain identity.

The ZR750L/M generation continued through the late 2000s with the same core 748 cc architecture. Kawasaki's official 2008, 2009 and 2010 parts records continue to reference English service manual 99924-1381-01, supporting the continuity of this early second-generation specification. Later production remained part of the Z750 line, but workshop documentation was revised for the final years. Kawasaki then replaced the Z750 with the Z800 for 2013; its official Z800 launch announcement describes the new model as a complete makeover of the Z750 and notes the displacement increase from 748 cc to 806 cc. That transition marks the clearest successor break in this branch of Kawasaki's Z-series.
