About the Husqvarna FE350

Husqvarna entered a new modern era in 2013 when KTM Group acquired Husqvarna Motorcycles and reunited the marque with Husaberg, the company founded by former Husqvarna engineers after the original motorcycle operation moved from Sweden to Italy. Development and production moved to Mattighofen, Austria, and the 2014 competition range became the first full off-road generation of this reunited brand. Husqvarna’s own history identifies 2013 as the reunification point between the Husqvarna and Husaberg branches. See Husqvarna Motorcycles’ brand history.

The 2014 FE350 occupied a distinctive middle position in the four-stroke enduro line between the lighter FE 250 and the larger FE 450/501. Its 349.7 cm³ liquid-cooled DOHC single used an 88 × 57.5 mm bore and stroke, 12.3:1 compression and four valves operated through cam levers. Electronic fuel injection, electric starting, a hydraulically operated damped wet multi-disc clutch and a six-speed gearbox gave the bike a broad enduro operating range. The 350 concept was designed to combine much of a 250-class machine’s agility with stronger torque and acceleration, creating a versatile 350 cc four-stroke enduro motorcycle for technical trails and faster open terrain.

The chassis was central to the first Austrian-era FE 350’s identity. A chromium-molybdenum steel central-tube frame worked with a WP 4860 4CS upside-down fork offering 300 mm of travel and a WP 5018 linkage shock providing 330 mm at the rear. The linkage rear suspension distinguished the Husqvarna configuration from comparable KTM PDS enduro layouts of the period. With 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, 260/220 mm disc brakes, a 1,482 mm wheelbase and a 970 mm unloaded seat height, the motorcycle was configured as a full competition-style enduro rather than a road-biased dual-purpose machine.

The FE 350 continued through several major development cycles. For model year 2020, Husqvarna described its enduro range as a new generation with new frames, subframes, suspension, bodywork and engine developments; the FE 350 received extensive engine revisions. See Husqvarna’s MY20 enduro launch. Another major break arrived for 2024, when Husqvarna introduced an all-new enduro platform and a much more compact 350 DOHC engine repositioned in the frame to centralise mass and alter chassis behaviour. See Husqvarna’s 2024 generation announcement.

This product is specifically the 2014 FE 350 factory repair publication for EU, AU and US versions, article 3403001en. The uploaded 279-page file is marked 2014 on its factory cover; the 08/2015 marking on the back is a later print/revision date, while Husqvarna catalogues the 2015 model separately. Related documentation is grouped in the Husqvarna FE350 service manual catalog.
