About the Suzuki Bandit

Suzuki gave the Bandit line a major technical redesign for 2007 with the new Bandit 1250 generation. Suzuki's official Bandit archive describes the 2007 Bandit 1250/1250S as a liter-class street bike built around a newly designed liquid-cooled four-cylinder DOHC engine. Compared with the earlier oil-cooled Bandit 1200, the new platform added liquid cooling, fuel injection, a balance shaft and a six-speed transmission while retaining the strong low- and mid-range torque and relaxed road manners associated with the Bandit family.

The naked GSF1250 and half-faired GSF1250S use a 1,255 cm³ liquid-cooled DOHC inline-four with a 79.0 × 64.0 mm bore and stroke and a 10.5:1 compression ratio. Factory specifications list electronic fuel injection, a wet multi-plate clutch and a six-speed constant-mesh transmission. Final drive is by chain with a 43/18 reduction ratio. The factory manual also documents the hydraulic clutch, engine-management diagnostics, cooling system, charging system and exhaust controls in detail.

The ABS-equipped GSF1250A and GSF1250SA share the same engine and drivetrain but add wheel-speed sensors, an ABS control unit and hydraulic unit, dedicated warning-light logic and ABS self-diagnosis. Factory dry mass is listed at 222 kg for the GSF1250 and 225 kg for the GSF1250S, increasing to 226 kg and 229 kg respectively for the ABS-equipped versions. All variants use a 1,485 mm wheelbase, adjustable 785/805 mm seat height, twin front discs and a single rear disc.

The 2007 redesign places the model firmly in the fuel-injected 1250cc sport-touring motorcycle category. Suzuki's archive emphasizes improved comfort at higher cruising speeds through the balance shaft and six-speed gearbox, while the combination of fuel injection, catalyst and PAIR system reduced emissions compared with the previous generation. The faired S and SA versions add increased wind protection, while the naked versions retain the simpler roadster layout.

This listing is specifically for the complete 685-page K7 factory service manual covering the 2007 GSF1250, GSF1250S, GSF1250A and GSF1250SA. The publication contains no K8 or later model-year supplement, so verified applicability is 2007 only. Related manuals are organized in the Suzuki GSF1250 manual catalog.
