About the Yamaha SCR950
The Yamaha SCR950 was introduced for the 2017 model year as part of Yamaha's Sport Heritage range, combining classic scrambler styling with the mechanical foundation of the Bolt family.
At its heart is a 942 cc air-cooled 60-degree V-twin engine with fuel injection, a five-speed transmission and belt final drive. Yamaha developed the SCR950 around a more upright riding position, wide scrambler-style handlebars, wire-spoked wheels and a long flat seat. Compared with the Bolt platform on which it was based, the SCR950 also received a redesigned rear frame and model-specific chassis and suspension details.
Yamaha presented the SCR950 internationally around the 2017 model launch, including at EICMA 2016. Model availability later varied by market, with 2018 SCR950 documentation existing in some regions. The service manual offered here is specifically identified as the 2017-2021 SCR950 manual.
