Moto Guzzi is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer that has been in continuous production in Europe for the longest time.
The company was founded in Mandello del Lario, Italy, in 1921, and is well-known for its historic place in Italian motorcycle manufacture, global domination in motorcycle racing, and industry advancements such as the first motorcycle center stand, wind tunnel, and eight-cylinder engine.
Since 2004, Moto Guzzi has been a unico azionista, or wholly owned subsidiary, of Piaggio & C. SpA, Europe’s largest motorcycle manufacturer and the world’s fourth largest motorcycle manufacturer in terms of unit sales.
The company’s motorcycles are distinguished by their air-cooled 90° V-twin engines with longitudinal crankshaft positions and transverse cylinder heads that protrude considerably on each side of the motorcycle.
