Kawasaki W800

The Kawasaki W800 is a parallel twin motorcycle that was manufactured by Kawasaki from 2011 until 2016, and then again from 2019. The W800 is a retro-style model that is based on the Kawasaki W series, which consisted of three models produced from 1967 to 1975 and were based on the British BSA A7. It succeeded the W650, which was manufactured from 1999 to 2007. The W800 is powered by an air-cooled, parallel-twin, four-stroke engine with a shaft and bevel gear driven overhead cam. Because the carburettor-fueled W650 did not fulfill pollution rules, the W800 engine is fuel injected. The W800, unlike the W650, does not have a starter.

The vintage look comprises a highly polished, gloss-painted, and pinstriped gasoline tank, as well as a ribbed saddle, wire wheels, and a distinctive W-logo on both sides of the tank, referring to the W1-model. In addition to the standard W800 model, there is the W800 Special Edition. The S.E. sports gold-anodized wheelrims, two black exhausts, and a black engine in 2012. There is a Café Style option for both models, which has a front cowl and a cafe racer-inspired seat.

Kevin Ash stated, “As the W800 purrs along, the performance seems distinctively vintage, but in a nice way. The engine’s sound is nice and mellow, and it pulls well enough that you don’t feel out of breath, as the W650 may “. A balancing shaft is used in the 360° engine to decrease vibration.
