Moto Guzzi V7 II ABS

The Moto Guzzi V7 II ABS is available in four distinct models: Stone, Special, Racer, and Stornello.

Although the introduction of the new engine improved maximum power by 10%, boosting performance was not the primary goal driving the V7 redesign. The third generation of Mandello’s “seven-fifty” will remain the Moto Guzzi entry-level model, easy to ride, with the most contained size and weight in its category, but with a strong and authentic character, typical of all Moto Guzzi bikes, much of which is displayed by the transversal V-twin engine, a one-of-a-kind configuration.

The key aims that drove its evolution had to do with style, standard equipment, and road performance, in other words, things that impact the experience of owning and riding a V7. The V7 III retains the model’s aesthetic individuality, which is distinguished by a design that dialogues through forms inspired by Moto Guzzi tradition and current motorcycle needs. However, the first impression is that you are in the presence of a more mature and robust bike, owing primarily to the presence of the dual pipe exhaust manifold and oversized cylinder heads.

Aside from these two pieces, the volumes are nearly equal to those of the previous generation, reaffirming the V7 III as one of the most approachable and stylish classic bikes. The metal fuel tank, on the other hand, has remained unchanged, with its superb 21-litre capacity and appearance inspired, as usual, by the one on the great 1971 V7 Sport. The aluminum gasoline cap is no longer flush with the tank line, but it is a screw cap with a lock, as it was previously. Other new design aspects include redesigned injector covers, slimmer side fairings, and a new saddle with brand new and model-specific graphics.

The turn indicators are also new, as are the mirrors, which have been made 40 mm bigger to improve vision and instrumentation. In keeping with the V7 III Stone’s essential image, the latter installs a magnificent unit with a single circle display 100 mm in diameter, whilst the Special, Racer, and Anniversario versions include a second circular display that houses the Rev. counter.

The speedometer is analogue, but the rest of the information is digital: odometer, partial and daily trip (resets automatically eight hours after being switched off), trip time, instantaneous and average consumption, air temperature, average speed, and the MGCT level, as well as the engaged gear indicator, for which the user can adjust the minimum and maximum rpm value.

This manner, you may keep a specific engine rpm range under control, for example, to operate the bike as efficiently as possible or to limit fuel consumption to a minimum. The rider interacts with the instruments by pressing the button on the new right-hand electrical block. The MG-MP, the Moto Guzzi multimedia platform that links your smartphone to your car and provides an extraordinary amount of valuable trip information, is among the several dedicated accessories available.
