Yamaha YZF-R15

The Yamaha YZF-R15 is a single-cylinder sport bike produced by Yamaha Motor Company since 2008. The second generation, dubbed v2.0, was introduced in India in September 2011, and Indonesia in April 2014. In January 2017, the third generation of the bike, dubbed v3.0, was released in Indonesia.

The engine for the first and second iterations (v2.0) was a 149.8 cc single cylinder four-stroke engine with four valves and a single overhead camshaft. The diameter and stroke dimensions were 57.0 mm 58.7 mm (2.24 in 2.31 in). This engine produced 12.2 kW (16.4 hp) of power at 8,500 rpm and 14.5 Nm (10.7 lbft) of torque at 7,500 rpm. A fan is located behind the radiator, which is located in front of the engine. The coolant reserve is located on the left side of the radiator, above and behind it. The transmission is a six-speed return type with a constant mesh wet multi-plate clutch.

The bike has a 270 mm (11 in) single disc with twin piston calipers in the front and a 220 mm single disc single piston caliper in the rear for the first and second iterations, both built by Nissin of Japan. The front suspension is a dual telescopic fork, while the rear suspension is a linked type single shock. The bike, like the others in the YZF-R series, includes twin headlamps.

The bike features a newer 155.1 cc engine for the 2017 upgrade. The bore and stroke measurements are 58.0 mm 58.7 mm (2.28 in 2.31 in). Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology is also used in this engine, which produces 14.2 kW (19.0 hp) of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm (10.8 lbft) of torque at 8,500 rpm. With a measured 282 mm, the front disc is bigger than the previous model (11.1 in). The front suspension has been replaced with an inverted dual telescopic fork. This version also has help and a slipper clutch.
