About the Kawasaki 300 and EX300

The 2013 Kawasaki Ninja 300 was introduced as a full model change from the Ninja 250R, with Kawasaki positioning it as a class-leading lightweight sport model for riders ranging from beginners to experienced users. Kawasaki's official 2012 INTERMOT announcement highlighted the increase to 296 cm³, a high-tensile-steel frame, a wider 140 mm rear tire and an Assist and Slipper clutch. The motorcycle uses a 296 cc fuel-injected parallel-twin sport bike powertrain: a liquid-cooled, four-stroke DOHC two-cylinder engine with a 62.0 × 49.0 mm bore and stroke and 10.6:1 compression ratio.
