Both the hydraulic front fork and progressive rear monoshock provide 112 mm of wheel travel. The 1,300 mm wheelbase, 848 mm saddle height and 117 kg kerb weight give the 2006 model noticeably different proportions from the earlier machine, while the full fairing and compact race-replica stance maintained the visual link with Aprilia's larger RS models.
