Triumph Rocket III / Classic / Touring / Roadster Service Manual (2005-2018)

Triumph introduced the original Rocket III in 2004, creating one of the most distinctive production motorcycles of its era around a huge longitudinal three-cylinder engine. The 2,294 cc liquid-cooled triple was paired with a five-speed transmission and shaft drive, giving the Rocket substantially more displacement and torque than conventional large-capacity cruisers. Triumph's own later technical documentation lists the original Rocket III application through the 2010 model period.

The family expanded with the Rocket III Classic for 2006. It retained the same basic engine and chassis architecture while adopting a more traditional cruiser riding position, including different handlebars, foot controls and comfort-oriented equipment. The Classic remained closely related mechanically to the standard Rocket III, which is reflected in this service manual's shared specification and workshop sections. Triumph documentation identifies the Classic from 2006 through 2009.

The Rocket III Touring arrived for 2008 as a more substantial touring derivative rather than simply an accessory-equipped standard Rocket. Triumph revised the chassis, wheels, bodywork and luggage arrangement and retuned the engine for stronger low-speed delivery. This factory manual specifies the Touring at 106 PS and 203 Nm, compared with 148 PS and 221 Nm in its consolidated Rocket III / Classic / Roadster specification. Later Touring models were also offered with ABS, and this revised manual contains dedicated Touring ABS hydraulic, sensor, diagnostic and wiring procedures.

For 2010, Triumph introduced the Rocket III Roadster, pushing the original platform toward a more performance-focused muscle-roadster role. The Roadster brought revised ergonomics, stronger engine output and ABS as standard equipment. Contemporary specifications highlighted the substantial increase in torque, while Triumph continued developing the Roadster through the final years of the original Rocket platform. OEM Triumph service-literature listings associate the consolidated T3851580 manual with Roadster applications through 2018, which makes this 704-page combined manual a much better catalog file than the earlier 627-page Rocket III / Classic / Touring publication.
