About the Kawasaki H2

Kawasaki introduced the Ninja H2 for the 2015 model year as a road-legal supercharged high-performance motorcycle developed alongside the track-only Ninja H2R. The project brought together technologies from several divisions of the Kawasaki group, including motorcycle engineering, aerospace and gas-turbine development.

At the center of the Ninja H2 is a 998 cc liquid-cooled inline-four engine equipped with a Kawasaki-developed centrifugal supercharger. Rather than adapting an automotive unit, Kawasaki designed the supercharger specifically for motorcycle use, allowing high efficiency over a broad operating range without requiring an intercooler, combining it with a high-tensile-steel trellis frame and compact dog-ring transmission.

The Ninja H2 continued for 2016 with the same core supercharged platform. The service manual offered here is Kawasaki publication 99924-1493-02 and covers both the 2015 ZX1000NF and 2016 ZX1000NG Ninja H2 models.
