Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is the successor of the Ninja ZX-9R in the Ninja sport bike line from Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki. It was first launched in 2004 and has since been updated and changed several times. It sports an ultra-narrow chassis, is light, and has radial brakes. The ZX-10R was named Cycle World magazine’s Best Superbike in 2004 and 2005, as well as the international Masterbike competition.
2011-2015
The 2011 ZX-10R received a considerable mechanical and cosmetic update. Most notably, Kawasaki made its Sport Kawasaki Traction Control (S-KTRC) system standard equipment. It anticipates traction loss and reacts appropriately. A completely new design, adjustable footpegs, bigger throttle bodies, a horizontal rear suspension, lighter three-spoke wheels, Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF) front suspension, and an LCD screen dashboard are also new. The 2012 model is the same as the 2011. The front damper was upgraded with an Ohlins electronic front steering dampener in 2013 versions.
Tom Sykes in 2013 became the first Superbike World Champion for Kawasaki since Scott Russell and the first on a ZX-10R. Stuart Easton won the 2014 Macau Grand Prix. Jonathan Rea won the 2015 Superbike World Championship season. Jeremy Toye holds the Heavyweight (Open) lap record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
