Moto Guzzi V7 II ABS

The Moto Guzzi V7 II ABS is available in four distinct models: Stone, Special, Racer, and Stornello.

Although the introduction of the new engine improved maximum power by 10%, boosting performance was not the primary goal driving the V7 redesign. The third generation of Mandello’s “seven-fifty” will remain the Moto Guzzi entry-level model, easy to ride, with the most contained size and weight in its category, but with a strong and authentic character, typical of all Moto Guzzi bikes, much of which is displayed by the transversal V-twin engine, a one-of-a-kind configuration.

The key aims that drove its evolution had to do with style, standard equipment, and road performance, in other words, things that impact the experience of owning and riding a V7. The V7 III retains the model’s aesthetic individuality, which is distinguished by a design that dialogues through forms inspired by Moto Guzzi tradition and current motorcycle needs. However, the first impression is that you are in the presence of a more mature and robust bike, owing primarily to the presence of the dual pipe exhaust manifold and oversized cylinder heads.

Aside from these two pieces, the volumes are nearly equal to those of the previous generation, reaffirming the V7 III as one of the most approachable and stylish classic bikes. The metal fuel tank, on the other hand, has remained unchanged, with its superb 21-litre capacity and appearance inspired, as usual, by the one on the great 1971 V7 Sport. The aluminum gasoline cap is no longer flush with the tank line, but it is a screw cap with a lock, as it was previously. Other new design aspects include redesigned injector covers, slimmer side fairings, and a new saddle with brand new and model-specific graphics.

The turn indicators are also new, as are the mirrors, which have been made 40 mm bigger to improve vision and instrumentation. In keeping with the V7 III Stone’s essential image, the latter installs a magnificent unit with a single circle display 100 mm in diameter, whilst the Special, Racer, and Anniversario versions include a second circular display that houses the Rev. counter.

The speedometer is analogue, but the rest of the information is digital: odometer, partial and daily trip (resets automatically eight hours after being switched off), trip time, instantaneous and average consumption, air temperature, average speed, and the MGCT level, as well as the engaged gear indicator, for which the user can adjust the minimum and maximum rpm value.

This manner, you may keep a specific engine rpm range under control, for example, to operate the bike as efficiently as possible or to limit fuel consumption to a minimum. The rider interacts with the instruments by pressing the button on the new right-hand electrical block. The MG-MP, the Moto Guzzi multimedia platform that links your smartphone to your car and provides an extraordinary amount of valuable trip information, is among the several dedicated accessories available.

Moto Guzzi Breva V1100

Breva is named for the Breva wind, which sweeps over Lake Como, where the Moto Guzzi plant is located. The bikes were available in four different sizes: 750, 850, 1100, and 1200. The three bigger versions vary from the 750 in that they have CARC suspension and improved performance.

  • Breva 750 or Breva V 750 (744 cc) (2002-2009): The Breva was Moto Guzzi’s first motorbike designed and launched after the business was acquired by Aprilia. The Breva 750 was publicly revealed to the press as a standard motorbike at Intermot 2002 in Munich. The Breva 750, like the Nevada, has a 750 cc V-twin engine drawn straight from the engine Carcano created for Guzzi in the mid-1960s that Tonti refined: a 48 horsepower (36 kW) V-twin. The engine design is still ideal for everyday, real-world settings due to its simplicity of maintenance, longevity, and even, flat torque curve. The first Breva 750 was handed to its owner on April 7, 2003, in a special event at the Mandello works to commemorate Moto Guzzi’s revitalization. Similarly, on the occasion of the company’s anniversary, the first 100 Breva 750s were given to their Italian dealers in a special ceremony on March 26, 2003 at Mandello del Lario headquarters.
  • Breva 850 (877 cc) (since 2006): a variant with the 850 engine that is not available in the United States.
  • Breva 1100/1100 ABS (1,064 cc) (since 2005): released in Europe in 2005 and in the United States in 2006. Breva 1100 ABS is not available in the United States.

Moto Guzzi Bellagio

Bellagio (936 cc) (since 2007): named after a town across Lake Como from Moto Guzzi‘s headquarters, it has bespoke styling and a matt-black color scheme. The Bellagio (tentatively titled the “940 Custom”) was presented at EICMA 2006, together with a new 1,200 cc, 8-valve engine, a 940 cc 4-valve engine, the new Griso 1200 and Norge 850. Despite the fact that it is not presently accessible in North America, a recent Piaggio news release implies that the Bellagio is critical to Guzzi’s North American presence.

Moto Guzzi California 1400

The Moto Guzzi California is a cruiser motorcycle produced and sold by Moto Guzzi since 1971. It has a standard seating posture, footboards, a heel-and-toe shifting, and connected (discontinued for the new 1400 versions) Brembo brakes.

The first California was created in collaboration with the Los Angeles Police Department Traffic Division to replace the department’s Moto Guzzi V7s. It possessed a left-foot shifting, a bulletproof Lexan windshield, and a spring sidestand, as well as the obligatory siren, radio, additional police lights, and a standing quarter mile time of less than 16 seconds. Later, they were utilized by other police forces, notably the California Highway Patrol.

Moto Guzzi has practically continually produced a version of the California from 1971 to the present day, with the newest iteration being a 1400 cc variant. Moto Guzzi produced an 80th anniversary special edition California model designed by Italian furniture manufacturer Poltrona Frau in 2002.

Moto Guzzi introduced a new bagger model, the Moto Guzzi MGX21 Flying Fortress, in 2017. This model is essentially based on the California 1400 (1,380 cc) model, which has a motor with 95 horsepower and 89 lb-ft of torque. The frame and accompanying elements have been significantly modified to fit the bigger 21-inch front wheel and projected weight; also, all bodywork is made of actual carbon fiber.
